History

J&S Water Wells was established in 1949 by Ray Stevens and Charles Johnson. From its beginnings, the company concentrated on domestic water well supply in the Bellville, TX area and its surroundings. In 1979, John E. Richardson purchased the company and since then, it has grown steadily over the last 30 plus years. In June, 2019, the company was purchased by Monte Richardson.

Since the late 1970’s J&S has expanded its knowledge and horizons in water well drilling by employing best practices and techniques in the industry. Our well drilling rig fleet has the capability to install wells up to 3500 feet in depth and 24 inches in diameter, with pumping  capacities of 5000 gallons per minute or more, in some instances.  J&S headquarters in Bellville, Texas and has a South Texas office in Alice, Texas.  We serve customers along the entire Gulf Coast region of Texas, from the Rio Grande Valley to the Piney Woods as well as Western Louisiana.
